A great experience in Boulder, just opened less than 2 weeks ago. We had butter and chocolate croissants, baguette, latte, and french-style scrambled eggs. They did an excellent job creating a Parisian vibe inside, yet with an attentive staff. Can’t wait for that jam (no pressure Florian). We recommend!

What a beautiful space this is! And everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Way beyond even my hopes when we discovered there is a French bakery in town. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the space is clean, beautifully decorated and has plenty of seating. And prices were very reasonable. We came around 11, so they seemed a little cleared out of some items, but we still found plenty of amazing things to try. I definitely want to try to get there earlier in the day next time, because I have so many things on my wish list at this point! My youngest is a very, VERY particular eater, and only very rarely will he eat in a restaurant. He DEVOURED the French Toast. His plate was clean afterward and he said he wants to come for his birthday! The highest of praise! Highly recommend. Can't wait to come back!

We’ve been expecting the opening for some time and it was absolutely worth the wait! I brought about 6-8 items to my Fiancés work as a sweet morning treat for her and her coworkers. The feedback I got was outstanding! Everyone was raving that each pastry was the best they’ve ever had full stop! The work history of the Chef was undoubtedly reflected in his craft. The Chocolate croissant was an absolute hit and “…reminded me of being in France”. Seems this will be my goto office treat for work events and local gifting. If you want a stellar reaction to a tasty gift, load up a to-go box with a various selection. Everything was fresh and delicious. Be aware there may be some items on the website that aren’t available when you arrive so make sure to call ahead if you’ve got your heart set on something!

Had three pastries. Croissant was not very crispy or buttery. Almond croissant super dense. Tart flat tasting. I do like the location. It’s a nice spot for a coffee but for pastries I’d go elsewhere. Jeannot’s in Lafayette has much better croissants

Beautiful building with a great atmosphere, The highlight of my visit was the raspberry macaron, without a doubt, the best macaron I’ve ever had. It was perfectly light and airy, with just the right balance of sweetness and fresh raspberry flavor. The ambiance of the cafe is charming and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a coffee. The baristas were equally delightful, providing excellent service with a friendly attitude. I even met the owners who were extremely kind and genuine. I’m so glad Boulder now has a lovely french cafe like this . I can’t wait to return here with my friends for more of their delicious treats and to soak in the lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend the macaron and crème brûlée!

I'll definitely be back! Delicious croissant, buttery, crispy, and soft. The French scrambled eggs were so soft and fluffy they melted in your mouth. The quiche was also very rich and filling. Didn't try any sweet treats this time, but will be back.

Maisonette - French Café & Bakery, nestled at 921 Walnut St in Boulder, offers a fresh slice of Parisian charm right in the heart of Colorado. This recently opened gem crafts an inviting atmosphere where the elegance of a French café meets the warmth of a local bakery. From the moment you step inside, the blend of rustic decor and attentive service transports you to a quaint Paris street corner.

The highlight here undeniably lies in their pastries and breakfast offerings. Patrons rave about buttery, flaky croissants—both classic and chocolate-filled—that evoke authentic French flavors. The chocolate croissant, in particular, has been praised as a standout, capturing the essence of a true European treat. Alongside these, their baguettes hold firm with a satisfying crust and tender crumb, perfect for savoring with a latte or the café’s French-style scrambled eggs, which bring a rich, creamy texture to the plate.

Maisonette's lattes reveal a thoughtful approach to coffee-making, balancing robust espresso and creamy milk, complementing the pastries beautifully. The French toast, reportedly a hit even with the pickiest eaters, adds a sweet and comforting note to the menu. The café also benefits from a bright, clean, and beautifully decorated space, offering ample seating indoors and out—ideal for both casual meet-ups and quiet solo moments.

While some reviews note occasional inconsistencies in pastry texture, the overall reception emphasizes freshness, skillful baking, and a genuine ambiance. Their menu changes with availability, so arriving early is recommended to sample the fullest selection. Maisonette stands as a delightful entry in Boulder’s food scene, merging traditional French baking craft with a local flair. It’s not just a place to eat; it’s a small escape to France, one exquisite bite at a time.
